Based at Hoani Waititi Marae in West Auckland, Te Roopu Manutaki was first established in 1968 and lead by Dr. Pita Sharples.
Third place winners at the last Tāmaki Makaurau Senior Kapa Haka Regionals, Te Roopū Manutaki hope to maintain their momentum and represent Tāmaki Makaurau at the next Te Matatini Competition in Hawke’s Bay.
Their Whakaeke (entrance item) is titled “Matua te kawa o Hākoro” a composition written by Kaharau Keogh and Paora Sharples.
