Woman fatally stabbed in Te Atatu named

The woman fatally stabbed in Te Atatu, West Auckland at the weekend was 36-year-old Carly Jasmine Leinala Stewart, police have confirmed.

Another 36-year-old woman will appear in court this morning charged with Ms Stewart's murder.

This incident was one of two fatal stabbings that occurred in West Auckland on Saturday.

A 23-year-old man was arrested following the death of Ronald Clayton Karipa in Glendene.

The man will appear in the Waitakere District Court today facing a charge of murder.
