To the Waikato Rugby League competition, Taniwharau's Premier 1 and 2 sides played Hukanui on Saturday in Huntly, and in the Taniwharau Premier 2 side was a player that has been absent from the footy field for 10 years.
In his time, he was a player many opposing players feared.
