The Māori Party want a retrial for Teina Pora, the man convicted of the murder of Susan Burdett some 20 years ago.
Te Ururoa Flavell wants the case reopened following 3rd Degree's investigation which has raised more doubt around Teina Pora's involvement in the Burdett murder.
