Gallery: 48th Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards

Fresh from her first tour in America, Aaradhna is up for 5 awards.

She already found success at the Pacific Music Awards this year being the first artist to take home 6 awards in one night.

Kirsten Te Rito is a new entry to the Best Māori Album category for her album 'Te Rito'.
Maisey Rika and Ngatapa Black who were nominated at the Silver Scrolls awards this year will also join her in the line-up.

Reggae band Soljah is another new entry to the awards this year, up for Best Roots Album for 'Aotearoa'.

But it's our own international superstar Lorde, who topped the American Billboard charts and the iTunes charts, who is expected to take home top awards, this year she is nominated in 4 categories.

Anika Moa, Boh Runga, Shapeshifter and Fat Freddy's Drop also join the Māori line-up of star-studded artists up for awards this year.

There will be live performances from Aaradhna, Lorde, Jamie McDell, Titanium, Iva Lamkum, Stan Walker, as well as a tribute performance by Ruby Frost to Legacy Award recipient, Shona Laing.
