Ngā Ringa Ngaio Whakaora is a partnership with ambulance services supported by Te Puni Kokiri that will equip 10 rural marae with AED defibrillators and provide first aid training to up to 12 whanau members at each marae.
With the nearest medical assistance half an hour away, Whakatōhea people are preparing themselves to deal with medical emergencies.
