Zac Guildford to sign with NSW Waratahs

Whilst Zac Guildford has been playing for Hawke's Bay for this year's Ranfurly Shield Competition, he has also attracted the attention of the Waratahs.

Guildford appears set to join the Super Rugby team.

It is being said that Waratahs coach Daryl Gibson has offered Guildford a second chance to showcase his talent on the international scene next year.

Gibson has been involved with Guildford in previous years when we was the assistant coach for the Crusaders.

He will take up the foreign marquee slot held by South African Jacques Potgieter for the past two years.

Guildford played for The Hurricanes back in 2008 when he made his Super Rugby debut. After that he then headed to the South Island to play for the Crusaders.

He also played for the New Zealand Māori team as well as the New Zealand Sevens squad.

In 2011 he was a part of the All Blacks team who won the Rugby World Cup.
