The Western Heights High School Kapa Haka group, Te Rōpū Manāki from the Te Arawa region was first established in 1987.
The group have been guided by the teachings of multiple tutors including Dan Vaka, Hiria Vaka, Faith Flavell, Kahurangi Maxwewll, Darcey-Ray Flavell-Hudson, Puahaere Vaka and Raelyn Flavell.
The item the rōpū have chosen to share is their poi, “Me he pūrerehua” which was composed by Dan Vaka.
