Auckland Council is currently seeking community feedback on their proposal to close the forested area of the Waitākere Ranges Regional Park.
Te Kawerau ā Maki is currently working alongside Council officers on the proposal, to confirm the proposed closure area.
The council is proposing to keep a number of tracks open, however, Te Kawerau-a-Maki has concerns about this.
