The Black Ferns Sevens team has arrived back in the country, following their World Cup win in San Francisco.
Their 29-0 win against France meant the team has retained their World Cup title.
Star player Tyla Nathan-Wong of Ngāpuhi says the comradery between players both on and off the field plays a big factor in their success.
“It’s pretty remarkable really when you look at it."
"We only had I think 21 points scored against us the entire tournament, but I think it goes down to all the hard work we did prior to heading over there and this season really,” says Nathan-Wong.
"When we did eventually get out on the field, we’d done all the hard work and it was just about having fun, going out there and playing.”
