In May last year former Labour Party MP Shane Jones retired from politics and was quickly snapped up by the National government for the newly established role of Ambassador for Pacific Economic Development.
The role includes serving as ambassador to several small island developing states in the Pacific and Indian oceans. Shane Jones has been in the role for just over a year and joins our presenter Ward Kamo in studio.
