Online Extra - Kidwell set to coach Kiwis

David Kidwell prompted to Kiwis head coach till the of next year's Rugby League World Cup. Kidwell has served three years as assistant coach of the side, will now turn his immediate task to recruiting his coaching staff heading forward.

The Head Kiwis coach has been confirmed, now they net has been cast to find his two assistants. The former Kiwi international has a new captain in mind for his side and confirmed discussions have already been had with a possible candidate.

On Sunday Kidwell was informed of the position to become head coach with former coach Stephen Kearney taking up the role as Warriors coach for the next three seasons.

Kidwell was assistant to Kearney's Kiwi side for three years He also has stints as assistance coach to Craig Bellamy's Melbourne Storm and Jason Taylors West Tigers.

His first task is the International test against Australia next month before the Four Nations at the end of the year. His position with the Kiwis will be full time which ends at the conclusion of the RLWC.
