The government has made a pre-budget announcement of more than $700 million to go towards overseas aid.
Foreign Affairs Minister Winston Peters says the money will be primarily set aside for the Pacific region as a response to climate change and other emergencies.
It'll also support youth across the region with access to health services, education and training.
Budget 2018 will be announced next Thursday.
