Family of Ihaia Gillman-Harris devastated following his death

The nephew of Ihaia Gillman-Harris has told Te Kāea that his body has been released to his family and he will lie in state at Henderson from 7:30 pm tonight, Te Kāea understands the family is expected to take him to Piki Te Aroha Marae in Rahiri at 10 am tommorrow and the funeral service will be held at 11.00am on Friday 2nd January.

According to a recent release by Police investigating the homicide significant progress has been made over the last 24 hours as a result of publicity seeking information to identify two men seen in CCTV footage at the Epsom motel where Mr Gillman-Harris was assaulted on 27 December. A number of people have been spoken to which has helped advance the investigation.

Detective Inspector Scott Beard from Auckland City CIB says that Police now believe that the two men from the CCTV footage have been identified. "We would now like to speak to these two men, however we believe they are aware Police are looking for them and are actively avoiding Police.
