The NZ Breakers have stormed into their fifth NBL grand final after defeating Melbourne United at Auckland’s Vector Arena, 91-78.
Tom Abercrombie made the semi-final victory possible with an epic performance, making the game’s first three-pointer.
Another from United’s Daniel Kickert just before halftime momentarily invigorated the visitor’s hopes, talking the lead 46 – 41.
But for the most part, the Breakers dominated with outstanding play from Cedric Jackson and a newly confident Reuben Te Rangi.
The Breakers face the winners of this afternoon’s semi final between the Illawarra Hawks and Perth Wildcats at WIN Entertainment Centre.
