Online extra - History first for MMA fighter Genah Fabian

Fighter Genah Fabian to make history becoming New Zealand’s first female to debut against Helena Jurišić of Poland in America’s mixed martial arts promotion company Bellator next month. The Thailand-based New Zealand MMA Fighter Fabian is back in Auckland to prepare for her Bellator fight (Kickboxing) 17th September in Budapest, Hungary. Tamati Tiananga talks one on one with Genah Fabian.

Genah Fabian says, “Its huge for me getting to fight in Bellator one of the top promotions in the world for anyone is a great accomplishment and achievement.”

Last Month Genah signed a four-fight deal. Fabian who has spent most of her time training with AKA Thailand has teamed up with Auckland’s City Kickboxing coach Eugene Bareman. The camp in Auckland has open doors to train alongside Israel "Style Bender" Adesanya, veteran kickboxer Doug Viney, Kai Kara Green and Selby Devereux. Genah has a Muay Thai record 7-1 and MMA record 1-0.
