A man wanted by Police has died after jumping from the Harbour Bridge in Auckland.
He had gone to a North Shore address and stolen a car and money from a woman known to him and failed to stop for Police. A pursuit was initiated.
The left-hand northbound lane of the Harbour Bridge was blocked after the man appeared to have stopped his car on the bridge.
The police boat Deodar was in the area and reached him very quickly and performed CPR, however, the man involved died.
Police are now in the process of contacting and advising the man’s next of kin.
All lanes on the Harbour Bridge are now open.
