NZ Sevens long-standing member DJ Forbes sets record in Dubai

New Zealand Seven's player 33-year-old DJ Forbes made his debut for the national side in 2006. He is now set to become the most-capped player in the Rugby Sevens World Series.

The World Series leg in Dubai will be his 80th tournament for the National team.

Forbes, of Ngāti Hāmoa decent, is already New Zealand’s most capped Sevens player. He has played 11 years for his country with a total of 391 games at World Series level.

He may gain his 392nd match when New Zealand plays England in their first match starting tomorrow evening (NZ time).
