Last month we brought you the story of how the Māori Education Trust sold off a prime farm block in the Wairarapa that had been gifted for the purpose of educating Māori from that rohe.
The sale caused outrage and local Iwi-Ngāti Kahungunu, who were hoping to have the whenua returned as part of their treaty settlement, have since occupied the block and tried to put a halt to the sale into private ownership.
Politicians have also waded in on the controversy.
Native Affairs reporter, Billie-Jo Hohepa Ropiha, who broke the story has now uncovered the sale of another farm that was gifted to the Māori Education Trust.
Billie joins Mihingarangi Forbes in studio with more on this development.
