Native Affairs Summer Series – Grandma’s Kitchen

Fifteen years ago, Colleen Walker and her whānau moved to Australia, like many Māori in search of milk, honey and a better life. She never would have guessed, though, that it would be pork bones and puha that would bring her riches, but it has.

All of a sudden made redundant, and stressed out about how she was going to make ends meet, Colleen decided to turn to what she knew. She knew she could cook, so off to the markets she went. There's been no looking back since then.
