Police concerns reasonable but actions unreasonable

For almost two years, the NZ Police spied on a group of people believing they were involved in military-style camps.

The Independent Police Complaints Authority (IPCA) found that police were entitled to that view and the decision to terminate the activity was reasonable.

The Police Commissioner gave the go ahead and while the termination was reasonable much of the conduct was unreasonable and unlawful.
