Last week it was revealed that shots had been fired into the Kaitaia office of Tai Tokerau MP Hone Harawira.
Usually an attack on a MPs office would draw a swift response from police but Harawira says in his case the response has been noticeably subdued.
He says police still haven’t made direct contact with him. Now Race Relations Commissioner Dame Susan Devoy is urging police to get in touch with Harawira.
